Illinois School of Technology
A highlight of Illinois Tech’s academic offerings is its signature Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program. In IPRO, students work with other students from various majors to develop a solution to a real-world problem. It also has an Idea Shop where students transform their ideas into reality. This 13,000 sq. foot hub has a rapid-prototyping lab featuring 3-D printers and a 3-D scanner, CNC milling machines, a vacuum former, machine shop, and laser cutter. 3000 undergraduates attend Illinios Tech and can pursue undergraduate programs in the following in the colleges of engineering, architecture, science, human sciences, applied technology, and business. Fun Fact: Illinois Tech alumnus Marty Cooper invented the cell phone!
